Dear Parent/Guardian,
As part of our work on our 4th Green Flag award for the Travel theme we are delighted to announce the official launch of WOW days (Walk on Wednesdays), COW days (Cycle on Wednesdays) and Park ‘n’ Stride.
If you are able we are asking families to:
- WOW i.e. walk all the way to school on Wednesdays
- COW i.e. cycle to school on Wednesdays
- or Park ‘n’ Stride i.e. drive some of the way then park up the car and walk the rest of the journey.
For the Park ‘n’ Stride initiative we are encouraging all families who usually drive their children to school to park at the Church and walk with your child the rest of the way to school.
We are launching these initiatives on Wednesday the 1st of May and we would appreciate your support. After this date these initiatives will run every Wednesday.
Remember to keep safe whilst walking or cycling to school.
We look forward to seeing you walking, cycling or Park ‘n’ Striding on May 1st and thank you for supporting our Green-Schools work to help keep our environment clean and green!
