Our primary school strives to provide a well ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and addressed.

The well-being of children is at the heart of the teaching and learning of the school, to this end the school believes in a holistic approach.

Davidstown Primary School is a Green School, a Health Promoting School, a Digital School but most importantly a Child-Centred School. In Davidstown we offer as many opportunities as we can so that we can see children grow in knowledge and reach their full potential.

Thankfully, there is always a healthy  interest in enrolment in our school. We open for enrolment each year in October/November.

If your child may attend our school from years 2026 onward, please register your interest with the school with child’s name and parent contact details.

Contact Margaret on 053 92 34745 or pre-register your interest at http://davidstownps.ie/enrolment/.We will send you a form when we open for enrolment for the following September.

As your child continues their education from pre-school, you face the very important decision of where to send your child for their primary school years. Scoil Mhuire, Davidstown is a welcoming, local option that strives for both the academic and personal development for all our pupils.

The school walls are adorned with the work and art of our students. There are four bright, modern classrooms, a learning support and resource room, along with a general purpose room and sensory room. There is consistent investment in technology, the science curriculum and the arts each year with a view to providing our students with hands-on, progressive and constructivist opportunities to engage with the curriculum. See the Pupil Activities menu above to view the curriculum enrichment programmes taking place in our school.

The school provides a Breakfast Club and Homework Club. This is run by school staff and is available to all pupils in our school. The service is registered with TUSLA and the NSC, and accepts the National Childcare Subsidy. For more information email Sarah at club@davidstownps.ie.

The grounds of the school are developed each year year, and now include a school fruit and vegetable garden, outdoor classroom, sensory garden trail, willow hut and yard play markings. Our parents and pupils have more ideas to develop the grounds of the school which will be put into action very soon.
