There has been a huge amount of interest in enrolment in our school for September  2020.

If your child may attend our school from years 2020 onward, please register your interest with the school with child’s name and parent contact details.

As your child continues their education from pre-school, you face the very important decision of where to send your child for their primary school years. Scoil Mhuire, Davidstown is a friendly, local option that strives for both the academic and personal development for all our pupils.

The school has begun a transformation with the work and art of our students adorning the walls. There are four bright, modern classrooms, a learning support and resource room, along with a general purpose room and sensory room. There has been huge investment in technology, the science curriculum and the arts in the past year with a view to providing our students with hands-on, progressive and constructivist opportunities to engage with the curriculum. See the Pupil Activities menu above to view the curriculum enrichment programmes taking place in our school.

The grounds of the school have also begun to be transformed with a huge amount of development taking place last year, including the creation of our school fruit and vegetable garden, outdoor classroom, sensory garden trail, willow hut and new yard play markings. Our parents and pupils have more ideas to develop the grounds of the school which will be put into action in the spring.

We invite you to join us.

Every Friday for the next 7 weeks we'll be delivering FREE live lessons from our Aquarium via YouTube!

Each week there will be two sessions;

🦈🔬 The first 'Deep Science' (1:00pm to 1:20pm) will see our schools team using aquarium exhibits and our AquaLab to explore the science behind the animated ocean exploration tv series ‘The Deep’ (CBBC @12pm on weekdays during lockdown). Expect fascinating facts and real time experiments, as well as ideas to follow up with at home!

🧜‍♀️📖 The second will be ‘Mermaid Tales’, which will air from 1:30 – 1:45pm and will involve a short story narrated by our resident mermaid, Marina - perfect timing before an afternoon nap, or as a gentle, relaxing start to the afternoon.

3rd to 6th class had a zoom session with Mark from Biodiversity Ireland on Tuesday. It was an excellent experience, with lots of ideas and inspiration in how to develop the biodiversity in the area around our school. The children have chosen the areas in the pictures below as the target areas for development. Watch this space!

Many thanks to the environment section in Wexford Co.Co. for arranging the session.

Our friends at Secret Valley Wildlife Park would like to thank all our families for their donation on our Christmas jumper day this week. We raised €280! This will go towards the care and feeding of the animals. We have sponsored 3 animals, Daisy, the ringtailed lemur, Toby the tortoise and Lollipop, the llama. We look forward to finding out more in the new year about the park and the work that they do. Well done everyone! ... See MoreSee Less
