Before Christmas Ms Crean and Ms Connolly asked the pupils in the school what ideas they had for their play space outside. They thought and looked online, did research and really considered what they wanted their outside space to look like, feel like and how they would like to use the space.
They came up with the most wonderful ideas.
These included:
- art and murals to brighten the space
- markings on the yard to play games – hopscotch, target board, snakes etc
- a house/hut to play in or to hide for tip the can
- sensory area around the outdoor classroom
- fairy garden in the trees by the vegetable garden
- climbing
- music wall – scrap materials
- benches – for sitting out on to play board games/card games
Anyone, pupils, parents, grandparents etc who have any ideas or materials to contribute to the school to help create this space, it would be greatly appreciated.
Items the pupils have listed include but not limited to; tyres, benches, pipes, paint, tiles.
Thank you!
