On Friday our debating team of Adam, Callum and Hollie took part in their first school debate against Bree NS .
Davidstown proposed the motion that “Primary School Pupils should be banned from owning a mobile phone.”
Following a lively, skillful debate the adjudicator decided that the motion would be carried. This means Adam, Callum and Hollie were successful!
It was a very close decision with only two points between the two teams.
Many thanks to the pupils of Bree NS. They were extremely well prepared and our team learnt a huge amount from them.
Our next debate will be against Galbally NS in January.
