Look at the latest addition to our outdoor classroom! The 3rd to 6th class built this willow hut with their bare hands! Well, with a little help from Terry the Weaver, Angela and Fiona. This willow hut was created as part of a natural playground that we will continue to develop and add to over the coming years.
When asked how they would like their school to look they said they wanted to have somewhere to hide and play in. We think you’ll agree that this ticks those boxes!
The willow hut will also become a vital part of the outdoor classroom as it will change in appearance according to the seasons adding a hands on element to how we deliver the curriculum in our school. The hut will also become a natural habitat for mini beasts and even possibly, birds nests!
We are ever so proud of how our pupils worked so well together to create something that everyone in the school can enjoy and benefit from long into the future.
